What Are Shortfill e-Liquids ?

Since the TPD (Tobacco Products Directive) legislation came into effect, manufacturers have found a clever new way of producing e-liquid in bottles larger than 10ml bottle sizes, these are known as shortfill bottles. These bottles can be any size however the industry standard has settled on two, which are the 60ml bottle and 120ml bottle shortfills that have free space in the bottle for one or two nicotine /shots/bullets/boosters to be added.

The shortfill e-liquid itself is nicotine-free, and the basic idea is to add your required strength of nicotine as a shot/bullet/booster in the top of the bottle, then shake the bottle to combine the two. This in turn reduces the cost of packaging making for a cheaper purchase and less waste, so much better value to us consumers.

The 120ml shortfill bottles will contain 100ml of juice, leaving 20ml of space for 2 nicotine boosters, resulting in an end result of 120ml mixed up in the bottle. Whereas the 60ml bottles will contain 50ml of juice, leaving 10ml of space for the nicotine to be added.
